Ham and Swiss Soup for Two

Ingredients:

  1. 4 1/2 teaspoons butter
  2. 4 1/2 teaspoons flour
  3. 1 can (14.5 oz.) chicken broth
  4. 1 cup chopped broccoli
  5. 2 tablespoons chopped onion
  6. 1 cup fully cooked cubed ham
  7. 1/2 cup whipping cream
  8. 1/8 teaspoon dried thyme
  9. 3/4 cup shredded Swiss cheese
Directions:

In a saucepan, melt butter; whisk in flour until smooth. Gradually add broth. Bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Add the broccoli and onion; cook and stir until crisp tender. Add the ham, cream and thyme; heat through. Stir in the cheese until melted.
