Herbed Chicken and Rice

Ingredients:

  1. 1/2 lb. boneless chicken breast, cut into 1-inch strips
  2. 1 tablespoon butter
  3. 2 large carrots, shredded
  4. 1 small onion, chopped
  5. 2 cups water
  6. 1/4 tablespoon marjoram
  7. 1/4 teaspoon thyme
  8. 1/8 teaspoon rosemary
  9. 1/8 teaspoon sage
  10. 2 cups instant rice
  11. 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Directions:

In a large skillet, saute the chicken in butter for 3 - 4 minutes. Add the carrots and onion; saute until tender. Add water and seasonings; bring to a boil. Stir in the rice; cover and remove from the heat; let stand for 5 minutes. Sprinkle with walnuts before serving.
